General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS)

Bordeaux : Tours & Wine

1. Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter “GTCS”) govern all bookings of tours and services offered by Bordeaux : Tours & Wine (hereinafter “the Company”).
Any booking implies full and unconditional acceptance of these GTCS by the client.

2. Booking and Payment Terms

2.1 Deposit and Balance

  • A deposit of 20% of the total amount is required at the time of booking.
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days prior to the service date.
  • For bookings made less than 14 days before the service, full payment is required immediately.

2.2 Payment Methods

Payments may be made via:

  • Credit card (secure payment via Stripe)
  • Bank transfer

Any bank charges, particularly for international transfers, remain the responsibility of the client.

3. Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation must be notified in writing (email).

Cancellation fees apply as follows:

  • More than 30 days before the service: 80% refund of the total amount
  • Between 30 days and 7 days before the service: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days before the service: no refund

The initial deposit is refundable under the above conditions, excluding any bank or transfer fees.

No cancellation or assistance insurance is included in the price. Clients are strongly advised to subscribe to personal travel insurance.

No refund shall be granted in the event of missing or invalid travel documents.

4. Modification or Cancellation by the Company

The Company reserves the right to modify or cancel a service due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Traffic conditions
  • Force majeure
  • Operational constraints

In such cases, an alternative solution or price adjustment may be offered.

Any modification requested by the client during the service may result in additional charges, payable immediately or at the end of the service.

5. Conduct and Responsibilities (Wine Tours & Transport)

5.1 Passenger Conduct

The Company reserves the right to refuse service to any person:

  • Under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Whose behavior endangers safety, the driver, the vehicle, or other passengers.

5.2 Damage and Cleanliness

  • Any damage caused to the vehicle by a client must be paid immediately.
  • In case of soiling of the vehicle, a cleaning fee of €50 will be charged.
  • If unpaid on-site, an invoice will be issued and must be settled upon receipt.

5.3 Minors

  • Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • The accompanying adult is fully responsible for their behavior and any damage caused.
  • The legal drinking age in France is 18 years old, and compliance is the responsibility of the accompanying adult.

5.4 Prohibited Actions

  • Consumption of alcohol not provided as part of the tour is prohibited in vehicles
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in all vehicles

6. Liability

The Company shall not be held liable for:

  • Loss or theft of personal belongings
  • Delays caused by external factors
  • Failure of the client to comply with legal or administrative requirements

7. Personal Data Protection (GDPR / RGPD)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and applicable French data protection laws:

7.1 Data Collection

Personal data collected (Full name, full address and contact details) is necessary for:

  • Booking management
  • Customer communication
  • Payment processing

7.2 Data Usage and Retention

  • Data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently
  • Data is retained only for the time necessary for the purposes stated above
  • Payment data is handled securely via certified providers (e.g., Stripe)

7.3 User Rights

Clients have the following rights:

  • Right of access, rectification, and erasure
  • Right to restriction and objection
  • Right to data portability

7.4 Data Security

The Company implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure data security and confidentiality.

8. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These GTCS are governed by French law.
Any dispute shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of France.
